→ GPA & test management : Nothing is more important than GPA when applying to colleges. The most telling sign of a college-ready student is to maintain a high GPA. We will regularly check your child’s academic progress via school websites (e.g. Parent Portal). We will remind the student and notify the parents when we observe any decline in performance. We will recommend when to take the SAT/ACT, AP, and SAT 2. We will also recommend tutoring and test prep when necessary.
→ Course selection recommendation : If GPA is the most important number on your application, then your course selection is what brings value and meaning to the number. You can have a 4.0 GPA, but if the courses you’ve taken are all lower level courses, then you are better off with a lower GPA but a set of more challenging courses. We help you to plan, select, and adjust according to your ability and progress so that you can have the best outcome possible.
→ Summer planning : Summer is critical time to build your resume. Depending on your decision, you can spend your summer just “being busy”, or you can optimize your summer to cultivate your academic profile. We will help you to identify, apply, and select summer activities that best support your long-term goal, thus positioning you to be ahead of your peers.
→ Internship assistance : Internships can be a great way to immerse yourself in a professional environment of your choice. A known and productive internship can greatly boost your chance of admission. Our team has years of experiences finding internship opportunities for you to excel.
→ Extracurricular activity guidance: It’s easy to be busy. It’s really easy to just DO a lot and feel like you are improving your chance to get into your dream colleges. But that the best set of extracurricular activities are often not what you think they are. They are well-planned, focused and showcasing who you are as a person and who your will be in the future. We will help you to generate ideas of extracurricular activities that best fit your goal.
→ College readiness training : Our interest in you goes beyond your college application. We want to see you succeed in college once you are a college student. We will hold workshops to teach you how to be a good student, show you how to engage in class, and most importantly, guide you to prioritize your time.
→ Monthly in-person meeting and Email communication : You can schedule a monthly meeting with us, and you can also email us when you have questions.
→ Student resume : Once you’ve accomplished everything above, we will help you to build a resume. A resume will keep everything organized thus easier for you when you need to apply for jobs and/or internships.
→ Moral support : We can also be your moral support when things are not going well for you. Sometimes you might need someone who’s close to your situation but not too close to you. We are more than happy to be there for you.
